          Tim,

          Congratulations and

          THANK YOU for “Discover

          Smith Mountain Lake”.

          I find it interesting,

          informative, timely, and just

          SPOT ON!

I was fortunate to have a very

          similar experience – except

          her name was NOT “Mrs.

          Pappageorge”! It happened to

          me in the eighth grade!!

Just wanted to let you know

how much we just love your

          magazine!!

          Tim,

Just read your essay on Mrs.

          Pappageorge. I smiled, teared

          up, and smiled again. Thanks

          for such a good read.

Moneta, VA (Nov. 13, 2013) – On Nov. 9, Christopher Tomley of Moneta

received his Eagle Scout designation at a Court of Honor conducted at Epworth

United Methodist Church in Moneta. Friends and family joined members and

leaders of Troop 130 of the Blue Ridge Mountains Council for the celebration.

Christopher, 16, the son of Joe Tomley and the late Sherry Tomley, is a junior at

least 21 merit badges and demonstrating ideals of service and leadership, including

organizing and leading an extensive service project. Christopher’s Eagle Scout

Leadership Service Project involved the building of a shade arbor at Dudley
