Solution:
The solution, although simple, inspired a number of creative answers,
but few correct ones.
Some suggested that the picture was a view from the front of the bus,
with the circles representing headlights; others thought it was a view
from the top.The most obvious interpretation is that the circles are
wheels, and the rectangles are windows.
Conspicuously absent is the door of the bus. With the exception of
England, all European countries use the “right hand traffic” system,
whereby the driver of the vehicle is located on the left side, and the
vehicle adheres to the right side of the road in bi-directional traffic.
Thus, since we cannot see the door of the bus, it must be on the other
side, which would be the right hand side of the bus. We can conclude
from this information that the bus is indeed heading toward the left,
and Igor should board it.
Congratulations to our winner, Jack Wargo, of Elizabeth,
PA, who submitted the first correct solution. Tom Van
Horne, Jerry McAfee, and Gary Kocsis also submitted
correct answers.Thanks for playing!
